IOTA Global Certification Inc. follows a structured, internationally recognized certification process to ensure that all certifications issued are credible, consistent, and compliant with ISO 17021 requirements.
The process begins with the client submitting an application. IOTA Global reviews the application, evaluates the scope, and performs a contract review. Applications may be accepted, rejected, or returned for additional information at this stage.
A two-stage audit is conducted at the client's premises. Stage 1 is a documentation review and readiness assessment. Stage 2 is the full on-site audit evaluating implementation and effectiveness of the management system against the relevant ISO standard.
Following the audit, a detailed audit report is prepared. The lead auditor makes a recommendation for certification, conditional certification (with corrective action required), or non-certification. Corrective actions, where required, must be addressed within agreed timelines before a positive recommendation can be made.
The certification decision is made independently by a competent person who was not involved in the audit, ensuring impartiality. Upon a positive decision, the certificate is issued.
Certificates are valid for three years, subject to satisfactory surveillance audits conducted at defined intervals (typically annually or semi-annually). Recertification audits are performed prior to certificate expiry to maintain uninterrupted certification status.
